GARY
CROYDON - (Caretaker) Manger
In
his third spell as Manager after returning midway through
last season. One of the most successful Managers at Burgess
Hill Town, winning the County title in 01/02, and a few
cups whilst also guiding the Hillians to the quarter finals
of the FA Vase and Final Qualifying Round of the FA Cup
the furthest we have reached in any of those competitions.
A Director of the Club who played a major part in getting
the Club into the Southern League, and now the Isthmian
League. Formerly managed Arundel, Shoreham and Broadbridge
Heath, and in his playing day he played for the Hillians
amongst other Sussex Clubs. Gary handed over the reins
to Jamie Howell midway through the 2007/08 season but
returned recently in an attempt to avoid relegation this
season, with the club near the bottom of the table.

GANDER
Assistant Manager
Recently
joined the Hillians as Assistant Manager to Gary Croydon.
Andy has previously managed Sussex County League sides
Wealden, Lancing and Wick.

ASHLEY
CARR
Age 39 Player/Coach
Clubs
record goalscorer who recently came out of retirement
to work with the young players in the Reserve side. A
Hillians legend who is a Director of Burgess Hill Town
FC and joint Manager of the Under 15s. Ashley had
made just over 400 appearances in a Burgess Hill Town
shirt. Still a strong clever, hold it up striker.
One of the most respected players that this County has
produced.

CHRISTIE -
Goalkeeper, age 18
Scouted
at the age of 10 and joining the school of excellence,
Callum was given a scholorship at 15 by Charlton Athletic,
he played for the Reserves in 2007 and made his debut
in the first team the following season. Communicates well
with his team and is recognised for his distribution and
versatitly on the field.

Youth
Team goalkeeper who made his debut for the Hillians
recently. Has featured mainly for the Youth and the
Reserves this season but did very well when called upon
first team action recently.

DANNY
GAINSFORD
: Defender, age 27
Towering
central defender who joined Burgess Hill Town FC from
Sussex County League side Shoreham FC in February 2007,
where he was captain. Danny, who is a solid defender and
strong in the air, was once with Crystal Palace Youth
as well as having spells locally with Lewes and Horsham
in the Ryman League and Steyning Town. Danny is currently
under contract with the Hillians and has skippered the
side a few times this season.

NICK
FOGDEN
: Defender, age 24
Signed permanently for Burgess Hill Town FC in the 2006
close season from Conference side Lewes FC and recently
passed 100 games for the Hillians. Originally had a loan
spell here at Leylands Park in February 2006 and has also
played for Kingstonian, Hastings United and Brighton.
This tough tackling and strong in the air defender can
also play in midfield and is always committed to the Hillians
cause.

PIPER
: Defender, age 23
Defender
who first played for the Hillians in 2005 when he was
work experience from Brighton & Hove Albion. After
being released from the Albion he joined Conference side
Eastbourne Borough. Re-signed for the Burgess Hill Town
FC midway though the 2006/07 season and held down his
place with some impressive performances and is now quickly
approaching 100 appearances for the Club. Matt has also
played for Hastings and Worthing.

JUSTIN GREGORY
: Defender, age 34
Recently
joined the Hillians from Conference side Lewes FC. Vastly
experienced Defender who has played at the highest level
of Non League Football winning a few league and cup medals
on the way. His former Clubs include, Farnborough Town,
Crawley Town, Stevenage Borough, Havant & Waterlooville,
Dulwich Hamlet, Hastings and Worthing. Justin can also
play in Midfield.

LLOYD
COTTON
: Midfielder, age 23
Came
through the Youth set up at Leylands Park and first broke
into the first team in 2003 and picked up the Young Player
of the Year award that season. Was the Hillians Player
of the Year and Players Player in the 2006/2007 season.
Lloyd always gives 100% and battles right to the end.
He can play in defence or midfield and always chips in
with a few goals. Has represented Sussex at Senior and
Youth levels. Coming close to 200 Appearances for the
Club.

Young
defender originally with Brighton & Hove Albion FC.
Then joined Conference side Lewes FC on a month-to-month
basis in the Summer of 2008. Can play at right-back or
centre-back. Joined the Hillians in November 2008.

DAY -
Midfielder, age 28
In
his third spell with the Hillians after recently rejoining
the Hillians from Whitehawk on dual registration. He
has made nearly 200 appearances for the Hillians. Tough
tackling midfielder who has previously played for Worthing,
East Preston, Southwick, Withdean and Crawley Town.
Leo has previously captained the Hillians and was also
part of the Hillians successful youth team of 98/99
season.

CLARKE
Defender, age 30
Experienced
tough tackling defender who is in his second spell with
the Hillians after a spell with Sussex County League
Division One side St Francis Rangers. This no nonsense
player has previously played locally for Hassocks and
Lindfield. Paul has mainly featured in the Reserves
this season and has always put in 100% when called upon
for first team action. He captained the side to the
2006/2007 Suburban League Southern title.

PULLING - Defender/Midfielder,
age 30
Recently
rejoined the Hillians from Ryman Division One South rivals
Worthing FC. Originally joined the Hillians in 2005 and
made 79 appearances. This creative and hardworking midfielder/defender
can chip in with the goals and has previously played hor
Horsham, Withdean 2000 and Wick. Mark is also the Youth
Team coach here at Leylands Park.

HARPER
: Striker, age 27
In
his second spell with the Burgess Hill Town FC having
rejoined the Hillians from Tonbridge Angels last season.
Originally joined the Hillians in 200 from Tonbridge Angels
and enjoyed a very prolific spell scoring 119 goals in
191 appearances which made him a fans favourite at Leylands
Park. . Left the Hillians to join Conference side Thurrock
for a four figure fee and after a couple of years moved
on to Welling before rejoining Angels. Natural goalscorer
who is very exciting to watch and once had trials with
Millwall. Club Captain. Last seasons top scorer.

JOHNSON
: Midfielder, age 21
Joined
the Burgess Hill Town FC in the Summer from Ryman League
rivals Worthing FC. Has previously played for Conference
South side Bognor Regis Town. Ben is a left sided winger
who is good at getting past opponents in one on one situations.
Has settled in very quickly at the Club and has established
himself on the left side of the Hillians Midfield.

TATE
- Sriker, age 26
Recently
joined the Hillians from Kent County League side Tunbridge
Wells. Prolific striker who has appeared for many Clubs
in Sussex including Ringmer, Sidley United and Wealden
as well as representing Sussex at Senior Level. Wes played
a major part in Crowboroughs 2007/08 Sussex County
League win which moved them into the Ryman League.

GEDDES
: Striker, age 37
Vastly
experienced striker who is now in his second spell with
Burgess Hill Town after recently rejoining. Gavin had
a hugely successful spell with the Hillians in the late
90s scoring 43 goals in 67 appearances, winning
two league title and two league cups. He has previously
played for Brighton & Hove Albion, Worthing, Horsham,
Wick and Worthing United as well as representing Sussex
at Senior Level.

GEDLING
- Midfielder, age 30
Recently rejoined the Hillians from Ryman League Division
One South rivals Crowborough Athletic. Luke originally
joined the Hillians in 2005 and made 57 appearances scoring
18 goals from midfield. Dead ball specialist who has previously
played for Ringmer, Lewes and Horsham and Conference sides
Aldershot and Gravesend.

ELKINS
: Midflielder/Striker, age 22
Midfielder
who played for the Hillians successful Youth team of 2005
winning the Youth team player of the year. Progressed
into the first team the next season but left to join Sussex
County League side Ringmer FC at the end of that campaign.
After a year there, where he picked up the Players Player
of the Year he rejoined the Hillians. Phil has also played
an attacking role for the Hillians this season. Also played
for Crystal Palace Youth and Hassocks.

MARTIN : Striker,
age 17
Young
striker who is on work experience from League One side
Brighton & Hove Albion. Peter is a pacey and direct
forward with an eye for goal. He recently scored his first
senior goal for the Club in the FA Cup against Epsom &
Ewell.

LANSDALE - Midfielder,
age 17
Young
player who has come through the Youth and Reserve ranks
at Burgess Hill Town FC. Battling defender / midfielder
who is beginning to break into the first team squad. Jon
is a dedicated young man with a bright future, he finished
top scorer with the reserves last season and is excellent
from dead-ball situations.

POPLE -
Striker, age 17
Young
pacey striker that can also play wide. Made his 1st team
debut aged just 15 in the Sussex Senior Cup against Siddlesham.
Louis joined the Hillians from St. Francis Rangers FC.
He has also had trials with Gillingham FC and has this
season represented the Sussex FC Under 18 Rep. Side.
