JAMIE
HOWELL
: Player/Manager - Age 30: - Debut: 03/03/07 v Whyteleafe
- Midfielder who joined the Hillians in the Summer from
Conference side Bognor Regis Town where he made over 400
Appearances. Has league experience with Arsenal, Torquay
United and Portsmouth as well as being England School
Boys captain at U15 & U16 levels as well as featuring
at U18 level. Had a loan spell with the Hillians last
season and was appointed Player/Assistant Manager this
season. Currently studying for his UEFA A License. Has
taken over from Gary Croydon in November 2007 for his
first Management appointment.

COLIN
HUNWICK:
Assistant Manager - joined as No.2 to Jamie Howell in
November 2007 from Bognor Regis Town. Colin was a previous
professional football player with Coventry City FC, Crawley
Town FC, and Norwich City FC. However, due to a re-occurring
knee injury he was forced to retire from professional
sport. Colin has since worked with and alongside various
Governing bodies which included The Professional Football
Association (PFA), and The Football Association (FA).
During this period he was part of a variety of campaigns,
which including; Kick Racism Out, Football in the Community
Schemes, Masters Football, and The PFA Commercial partnership
scheme. Since retiring form sport Colin was able to further
his sporting education by gaining a BSc in Sport Sciences,
and an MSc in Sport Psychology. He is also a UEFA B football
coach and is now a Sports Development Officer in Sevenoaks
Kent, and works in the Sevenoaks and Malling School Partnership
to improve the quality of PE in our schools.

STUART
TUCK
- Player/Coach Age 33 - Debut 22/08/06 v Walton Casuals
- Vastly experienced defender who is very well known and
respected in Sussex Football. Played 93 games for Brighton
& Hove Albion, some as Captain and has also played
for Worthing, Eastbourne Borough and Bognor Regis Town.
Had a loan spell with the Hillians early last season.
Solid defender who always gives 100%.

CRAIG
STONER
- Age 27 - Big goalkeeper who joined the Hillians this
summer from Conference South side Bognor Regis Town. Craig
was their player of the Season last year and join the
Hillians on a two year deal. His previous clubs include
Portsmouth FC.

DANNY
GAINSFORD
- Age: 25 - Debut: 13/02/07 v Godalming Town - Towering
central defender who made a very bright start to his Hillians
career last season when he joined in February from County
League side Shoreham where he was captain. Danny, who
is a solid defender and strong in the air, was once with
Crystal Palace Youth as well as having spells locally
with Lewes and Horsham at Ryman level. Recently signed
a two year contract with the Hillians.

NICK
FOGDEN
- Age 21 - Debut: 18/02.06 v Ashford Town - Signed permanently
for the Hillians last Summer from Conference side Lewes.
Originally had a loan spell with us two seasons ago and
has also appeared for Kingstonian on loan. This tough
tackling and strong in the air Defender can also play
in Midfield.

LLOYD
COTTON
- Age: 22 - Debut: 25/01/03 v Wealden - Last Seasons First
Team Player and Players Player of the Year. Lloyd was
a product of Youth Team set up at Leylands Park who broke
into the first team three years ago and picked up the
Young Player of the Year award then. Has also represented
Sussex. Lloyd can play in defence or midfield and can
always chip in with a few goals. As well as his first
team duties Lloyd helps out with Burgess Hill Town Under
18 side.

MATT
RUSSELL
- Age 29 - Striker who signed for the Hillians from Horsham
YMCA this Summer. Can also play in defence or midfield.
Well known is Sussex Football for being a prolific scorer,
being top scorer at Bognor Regis Town and Horsham YMCA
in the past. Has also played for Worthing.

STEVE
HARPER
- Age 25 - Debut: v Eastbourne United - In his second
spell with the Club having recently rejoined from Ryman
Premier side Tonbridge Angels. Originally joined the Hillians
in 2000 from the Angels and enjoyed a very prolific spell
scoring 119 goals in 191 games which made him a fans favorite
at the Club. Left the Hillians to join Conference side
Thurrock for a four figure fee and after a couple of years
moved on to Welling before rejoining Angels. Natural goalscorer
who is very exciting to watch and once had trials with
Millwall.

DAVID
PIPER
- Age 29 - Debut: 08/09/07 v Walton & Hersham - Vastly
experienced classy Defender who can also play in Midfield.
Joined the Hillians from Ryman Premier side Folkestone
Invicta. Previously with Bognor Regis Town and Winchester
City and before that played in the Conference with Woking
and Yeovil.

MATT
PIPER
- Age: 22 - Debut: 29/01/05 v Corinthian Casuals - Defender
who played for the Hillians in 2005 when he was on Work
Experience from professional side Brighton & Hove
Albion. After being released from the Albion he joined
Conference side Eastbourne Borough. Re-signed for the
Hillians midway through last season and held down his
place with some very impressive performances. Matt can
also play in midfield and has also played for Ryman Premier
side Hastings United and Worthing.

and good in the dressing room, Stuart should be a great
example to our younger players.

KANE
LOUIS
- Debut: 23/08/08 v Whitstable Town FC. Young professional
signed
from Brighton & Hove Albion initially on a months
loan. Striker who has been doing very well in Brighton's
Reserves and Youth team. Former
Dorothy Stringer pupil, spotted playing for Hove Park
Colts at the age of ten, has developed into a promising
forward following a spell as a central midfielder. He
has already started a couple of games in the reserves
and was named by former Brighton manager Dean Wilkins
in the senior squad for the FA Cup tie against Stafford
Rangers two seasons ago.

ELKINS
- Age 21 - Debut: 23/08/05 v Dulwich Hamlet - Midfielder
who played for the Hillians successful youth team of 2005.
Progressed into the first team the next season but left
to join County League side Ringmer at the end of that
campaign. After a year there he picked up the Players
Player of the Year and rejoined the Hillians earlier this
season.

JAMES
WESTLAKE -
Age 17- Debut 15/04/08 v Molesey - James made is first
team Debut coming on as a substitute at the end of last
season, collecting the young player of the year award
for 2007/08, James has forced his way into this seasons
first team squad. At the age of nine James was picked
up by Millwall's Academy where he played for four years.
James enjoyed success with Oakwood where he won two county
cup winners medals in successive years before joining
Burgess Hills youth programme at the age of 14. Playing
on the left or right flanks James has progressed through
the ranks of both youth and reserve team football, also
playing for the Sussex County U18 side.
